Panel Mount LED Indicators

Small, powerful LEDs offering vivid colors with varying intensity.

Snap-in LED panel mount indicators should not have a gap between the LED and plastic housing. That is why Tensility created a true injection molded solution, providing a clean and aesthetically pleasing panel mount indicator.

Our panel mount LED indicators are designed for the work behind the panel. By using soft, flexible mPPE (modified polyphenyle) hook-up wire for the leads, installation is easy. The positive wire lead matches the LED color, making the final termination of the wire is even easier. The wire has excellent dielectric properties over a wide temperature range, allowing for minimal insulation thickness. The small, powerful LEDs offer vivid colors with varying intensity.

  • FAQs

    How do LEDs work?

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) produce light when a current is applied to semiconducting materials. Impurities are introduced to the semiconducting material through a process called doping, which creates an N-type layer and a P-type layer in the material. There are extra electrons in the N-type layer that move to holes in the P-type layer once the LED is connected to a power source. Visible light is produced by the energy released during this process.

    How is light intensity measured?

A millicandela (mcd) is a unit of measure for light intensity. Simply put, 1 candela is roughly the light of a candle, and 1 mcd is 1/1000 of a candela.

    Is this panel indicator waterproof?

No, these panel indicators are not rated for ingress protection. The snap-in panel design is not meant for water.
